Aerosol-Modelling
We use and develop numerical models to describe the physical and chemical properties of atmospheric aerosol in order to further our understanding of its effects on weather, climate and air quality and to derive efficient mitigation strategies. In particular we focus on (secondary) organic aerosol in the multi-phase system of the atmosphere, hence on the interactions of the solid-, liquid and gas-phase. In our work we employ box models as well more complex, three-dimensional local- and regional-scale models.
